Areas of expertise include identifying prospects, leasing, analysis of relevant geological factors that contribute to the prospect's value, interpretation of available seismic information to support the prospect, determination of optimum drilling locations, and estimates of productivity.

Detailed studies include construction of geologic cross sections and mapping, integration of all available well logs, analysis of reservoir characteristics of target horizons, workstation mapping and analysis of existing seismic data, and evaluation of existing and proposed leases.

MEP can recommend potential leases to be acquired, drilling locations, and target horizons. Additionally, MEP can assist with prospect presentations to optimize management or market appeal.

Larry Lind

Geophysicist

Over 40 years’ experience integrating geological concepts with quality, detailed seismic data to produce marketable exploration and development prospects. Expertise in seismic interpretation, workstation analysis, and planning and collecting seismic data for 2D and 3D projects. Extensive experience in working with 2D and 3D seismic data including acquisition, processing and interpretation.

Hal McKinney

Operator/Geologist

Experienced oil & gas operator with expertise in operations and lease acquisitions. Developed many prospects over 30 years, from initial leasing through drilling and completion. Has participated in over 100 wells.

Our In-House Seismic

At your request, MEP can acquire available spec seismic data, reprocess existing seismic data, or acquire new 2D or 3D seismic data. We can also design and implement a seismic survey and process and interpret the data in-house. The surveys may include a single, one-mile 2D line up to a small-scale 3D survey.

Dwight Hollon

Geologist

Onshore U.S. Geologist with experience in multiple basins and regions. Expertise in geological evaluations including stratigraphy, structure, rock characteristics, fluid geo-chemistry, and prospect identification. Experienced in field operations including horizontal and vertical drilling programs.
